Renewable Energy, Net Zero Emissions and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Iowa

MidAmerican Energy in partnership with BHE Renewables, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, is investing extensively in solar, wind, geothermal and hydro projects. Jeremy will explain the core principals of this partnership and account management using LINK Exchange programming.

Electric vehicles have introduced anxiety over the range  that they can be driven before recharging. MidAmerican  Energy is planning rapid direct current charging stations  throughout Iowa. These stations and their locations will be  discussed. A plan addressing the range anxiety issue is to  build an infrastructure of 15 fast-charging stations across  Iowa each within roughly 50 miles of another.

Other topics planned for this season:

August 2022, Tall Grass Prairie

September 2022, Tandem Insulin Pump

October 2022, Logistics of Food Bank with Tour

November 2022, Iowa National Guard

Program Chair: Steve Crouse
