Mr. Todd Whiting, Mr. Pete Williams & Mr. Ray Thompson will talk about Drag Racing and explain some of the Technologies needed to compete in “Bracket Racing”.

Tour

After the presentation, there will be a tour of Todd’s shop near the Waterloo Airport where there will be 4 Dragsters available for review.

Speakers:

Todd Whiting retired from John Deere in 2012 after 36 years as an engine engineer in the field of diesel engine research and development. He is a relatively new member of the drag racing sport with 3 years of experience thus far.r

Pete Williams history with racing dates to the early development of drag racing "funny cars" in the late 60's. He was a member of a number of the pioneering teams during the 70's and 80's. Pete was a team member and driver of one of drag racings most recognized funny cars, the "Chi-Town Hustler".

Ray Thompson retired from John Deere in 2013 after 36 years as an engineer in the field of Product Verification and Validation. He has been involved in drag racing for over 30 years. He still owns his first race car, a 1977 Road Runner which has made over 4000 passes down the strip.
