Talk to Me Technologies(TMT) Presentation & Demo

Talk To Me Technologies, www.talktometechnologies.com, is the proud recipient of the 2018 Harold Brock Innovation Award. This award recognizes the efforts of a private sector firm for innovation in technology, advanced manufacturing or talent development. Harold was a Waterloo Technical Society Member.

Talk To Me Technologies was founded in 2006 by Matt Dunning, Marty Gallagher and Kate Dunning. They wanted to provide speech devices in a new way, using common sense and intuitive interfaces: their sales staff is comprised of Speech Language Pathologists who put their clinical expertise first and are led by the depth of their own knowledge and not by profit differentials from one device over another. Clients benefit from the simple notion of being matched with a speech device that works for them and not the other way around. Because of this, abandonment of the device is extremely rare, client satisfaction is high, healthcare expenses are minimized and they get to keep loving what they do.

Talk to Me Technologies offers two major lines of Speech Generating Devices called Wego A’s and Zuvo Eyespeak’s. There will be an interactive demonstrations on each of the different devices. This will include environmental control, eye tracking, voice banking, switch scanning and more. She will review the benefits of this technology emphasizing application to users with various needs (e.g. ALS, Autism, etc.). Handouts and more detailed information about device platforms, applications, and accessories will be available at the meeting.
