Sustainable Construction and Design
Description
Our August Program will feature an instructor from Hawkeye Community College. Mr. Craig Clark will speak about the Sustainable Construction and Design program, utilizing a "whole systems approach". Some of the subjects he will touch on will be: healthy environment concerns, high energy-efficiency (heating, lighting, cooling), building techniques, mechanical systems, energy-conscience subcontractors, using green and renewable materials, reducing construction waste and much more. The program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training.

The Lifestyles Inn has requested that we collect cash for the meal and not checks. “Cash Please” ☺

Dues: Dues are used almost entirely for donations to local groups engaging in some technical field for which the money will make a real difference.
