Topic: Design & Building a Diesel Particulate Filter Weigh Room

Topic Summary

Kevin will talk about the design and building of the Diesel Particulate Filter Weigh Room at the John Deere Product Engineering Center. This Temperature & Humidity Controlled clean room meets EPA’s final Tier 4 Heavy Duty Diesel Emissions requirements for filter weighing using a “7-place” microgram balance that can resolve weight differences of less than 1microgram.

Speaker Background

Mr. Reiss is a Senior Engineering Technician working for John Deere. Kevin has worked for 5 years in the Test Lab Operations group at the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Prior to that, Kevin worked for SPX/OTC Service Solutions testing ODBII scan diagnostic tools. Kevin holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from the University of Minnesota, Mankato.
