Topic: Evolution of the Fire Service through Technology
Cedar Falls Fire Chief John-Paul Schilling, EFO will discuss some of the technology utilized by the Cedar Falls fire department in fighting fires.
Speaker: Fire Chief John Schilling
Fire Chief John-Paul Schilling was appointed to serve the City of Cedar Falls as Chief of the Cedar Falls Fire Department on December 12, 2008. Prior to that, he served on the Ankeny, Iowa Fire Department as Deputy Chief. Schilling also served with the Eufaula Fire Department in Eufaula, Alabama, and Ozark Fire Department in Ozark, Alabama beginning in 1989.
Schilling’s education includes paramedic certification, a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration with emphasis on Fire Science from Upper Iowa University and is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.
Tour: After the presentation, there will be a tour of the Cedar Falls Fire Station.
