Cedar Falls “Clarion Inn” Against the Grain Restaurant

(Formerly called the Holiday Inn)

UNI SOLAR BOAT CLUB

Topic: Solar Boat Club students from the Department of Technology at UNI are working on upgrading the motors and battery system of the UNI Solar Boat for the competition in Dayton, Ohio in June 2017. They will talk about the boat and its operation in detail and provide information about the competition plus share their experiences working on the boat.

Speaker: Students from the Boat Club: The Solar Boat Club has been established at UNI since 2000. This student organization has the mission of acquainting UNI students with the present and future scope of renewable energy, promoting interest in science, technology, and education, and providing students an opportunity to apply energy efficiency and conservation theory to a practical project in a team environment. The team will join the Solar Splash at the World Championship of intercollegiate Solar/Electric boating in Dayton, Ohio in June 2017.

Meal: Plated Dinner: Grilled Pork Chop with bourbon apples. Dessert included.

Price: $18.00 per person (includes tax, tip & room rent)

The Clarion has requested that we collect cash for the meal and not checks. “Cash Please” ☺

Location: “Against The Grain” Restaurant, Cedar Falls Clarion Inn 5826 University Ave., Cedar Falls 50613.

Please indicate if you are NOT having dinner with us when making a reservation. Please also provide the names of any guests so that nametags can be ready for them.

Please make reservations by 4:00 PM, Monday 10 April 2017. Guests are always welcome.

Note: Checks to purchase meals from the Clarion Inn should be made out to “Clarion Inn.”
