Challenges of Technology in the Small Workplace
Topic: Glenn will give a brief history of the
“Wood Components & Technologies” manufacturing facility located in the
Cedar Falls Industrial Park. He will talk about the transition from an old
machine style manufacturing process to the multi-operational machining centers
of today and how a small manufacturing company is balancing competitiveness
with technology affordability. He will share his insights and experiences
at both a large corporation and at a small business.
Speaker: Mr. Glenn
Davison is President & CEO of “Wood Components & Technologies”. He has
been an owner for nearly 24 years and majority owner for the last ten
years. Prior to that he was employed with Carnation Company/Nestle for
16-1/2 years at three different manufacturing locations working up from
Production Supervisor to eventual Plant Manager at two locations. He is
also a U.S. Navy veteran and officer serving during the Vietnam era.
